Ingredients for Vegan Donuts
Donut Ingredients
- All-purpose flour
- Pure cane sugar (I used Florida Crystals)
- Non-dairy milk (I used oat milk)
- Unsweetened apple sauce
- Vegan butter (I used plant crock)
- Baking powder
- Vanilla extract
- Ground cinnamon
- Salt
Glaze Ingredients
- Confectioners’ sugar
- Vegan butter
- Vanilla extract
- Valentine’s Day toppings (of your choice)
How to make Homemade Vegan Donuts for Valentine’s Day
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
- In a medium sized bowl whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon. Then whisk together until well combined.
- Then add the milk, apple sauce and vanilla extract. Whisk until smooth.
- Spray a donut mold with non-stick butter.
- Divide the batter into a donut mold. Fill about ¾ full per donut.
- Bake for 14-16 minutes, or until golden brown on the edges.
- While your donuts are baking in the oven, make your icing.
- Heat up the butter in the microwave until completely melted.
- In a small-medium size bowl mix the confectioners’ sugar, melted butter and vanilla extract. Whisk until well combined.
- Once the donuts are well cooked, let them cool off for about 15 minutes.
- Then dip each donut in the icing and immediately dip them in your favorite Valentine’s Day topping.

How long do Vegan Donuts Keep?
Not that they will actually last as long as this, but these vegan glazed doughnuts will last for up to a week when stored in an air-tight container.
